MLM Recruiting Techniques

Here's a good one! have you ever had a potential recruit ask you, "where do you get your clients from?" What they are really asking is "will I have to cold call?" or "will I have to approach my friends and family?" Here is a great way to respond to that: We get our clients 4 different ways: 1 one 1, 1 on 10, and 1 on 100. Let me explain: many times when people come on board with us they get so excited about the opportunity they start calling all their friends and family, and end up giving them way too much information, ultimately turning those people off. I absolutely forbid you to do that! I do not want you to contact a single person that you know without me going with you to show you how best explain this opportunity, that's what I mean by 1 on 1.

Sometimes people will want to invite many of their friends and family over, feed them, then give them an hour long presentation about the company. Again, do not do this without my presence, that's what we call 1 on 10. Next, a new person with us will want to do a seminar at their church or workplace. This is a great way to introduce this business, but again I want to be there to give the presentation. This is 1 on 100.

Global Verge Scam, GLobal Mobile 1, and Global Group Scam Exposed

I know it has been a while since I've spoken about ZERO1, Buzzirk Mobile, and Global Verge, but I've been seeing so much of the new Buzzirk Mobile, called Global Mobile 1. To give a little background, almost one year ago all the buzz (forgive the pun) was about a new mobile phone that was going to turn AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile on it's head. Supposedly, this new phone was going to be able to do things that have never been done before. Example, one of the features it had was 5G technology (that has not even been invented yet)that would allow you to download a 2 hour movie in 3 minutes! Another feature was that you would be able to see the other person you are talking to, and they would be able to see you in real time through the phone. The cost was going to be $79.99 per month and that included unlimited talk, text, data, and worldwide calling. The parent company, Global Verge, started recruiting the masses for this "new phone", and got 40,000 recruits in 6 weeks! After many falsefied launch dates, the whole thing ended up being a huge scam, and noone got or saw a phone, and noone got the commissions that were due to them!

Well, it looks like they are at it again with Global Mobile 1. It is the latest and greatest out of the same company, Global Verge. This has become a huge disappointment to those people that got recruited into Global Verge expecting the phone that was originally touted, because this "new phone" is nothing more that a phone and plan that you get through Boost Mobile! In fact it's a little more expensive than the boost phone, with worse coverage, and inferior phones.

When are these guys guys going to give it up! If you are considering joining this company I would strongly urge you to do your homework on the prepaid plans that are being offered through independent carriers such as Boost, and Next Tag.

LATEST DEVELOPMENT ABOUT GLOBAL VERGE AND GLOBAL MOBILE 1:

To all our Global Group members

We as a group are all faced with the current dilemma in Global Verge.
Global Group was founded for the purpose of supporting everyone in Global Verge.

Substantial financial and time resources were poured into TeamGG and these were offered as a benefit to all members of Global Verge free of charge.
Global Group did this because we were proud to introduce what we believed was the best opportunity anywhere.
Despite questionable business decisions that continuously plagued our progress, we steadfastly protected our businesses, our company and the integrity of its owners.

Despite the efforts of the finest leaders this industry has ever seen, the cracks started to appear: Misleading and inaccurate statements concerning future technology, hardware, training, sales aids, customer service efficiency, satisfactory provisioning, supposed MVNO status, to name only a few.

Further, an absolutely stunning lack of communication with all of the top leaders in the field, something that until now, had been completely unheard of in our industry.
Would we have wanted it otherwise? Of course we would have.
Global Group remains here to help all of you.

We have received hundreds of letters from the field expressing frustration with not receiving SIM cards, not having SIM cards activated,
receiving used phones instead of new phones, no data, no customer service, unpaid commissions etc.
We want you to know that Global Group has not forsaken you and we ask that you submit to us all of your concerns
and questions on any and all unresolved issues, no matter how long ago they occurred, so that we can get your resolutions escalated immediately.

JUUGO and TVI EXPRESS Scam Exposed!!

I feel like I am at a carnival. "Ladies and Gentlemen, step right up take a shot at the 3 bottles with this baseball, and win a stuffed animal". It seems like the worse the economy gets the more scams that seem to up everywhere with the allure of big money in just a few weeks, free vacations anywhere in the world, a car bonus, where does it end. A new player in the travel MLM business has just hit the network marketing/mlm market. It's called JUUGO.

Unlike TVI Express's $250 entry fee, your entry fee for JUUGO is almost $600. Let's see what you get for $600:

1. Pre-Paid Calling card
2. Pre-Paid Mastercard with approx. $30.00 loaded on it
3. Priority access to 600 VIP airport lounges
4. A position on the Builder Board

That's pretty much it (basically nothing). Now if you are successful in recruiting lots and lots of people that are willing to spend $600, then eventually you will get your initial "investment" back, and tha'ts just on the first cycle. Then if you are able to recruit several hundred people that are willing to spend $600 each then you cycle to the Super Board, then you will get approx. $6000. There is also a mobile phone that you can win.

Folks, I've always heard "if you want to be wealthy, do what wealthy people do". Can you see Bill Gates, or Warren Buffet joining JUUGO, or TVI Express? These are both fly-by-night companies that only a select few will make any money at all leaving the rest disillusioned. A notorious leader once said "If you tell a big enough lie, and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed". This is going to be a waste of money. I would stay away from this one!

Primerica to be sold

Primerica will likely be sold to JC FLowers and Co. LLC at the beginning of 2010. Primerica is a network marketing/ multi-level company that focuses on recruiting thousands of agents every month. This was supposed to happen about a year ago, but things fell through. Many people have been asking what will happen to Primerica? JC Flowers will probably make it a non-captive company, based on their history. What does that mean? Well, up until now, Primerica agents were forbidden to sell unapproved products of other carriers, so if an agent wanted to sell a West Coast Life term policy they would be prohibited from doing so, henceforth other agents from other unrelated agenies were also forbidden from selling Primerica products.

All this will change once the buyout happens. Primerica agents will be allowed to sell other companies products, and other agents will be able to sell Primerica products. The lines will be blurred. The challenge will be trying to recruit new agents because of Primerica's multi level recruiting model. All new agents start at a 25% commission. That is probalby the lowest commission of any company. Most agencies start their agents at 70% and move up from there. Why go to Primerica, if I can start at an agency down the street, that sells the exact same product at a much higher commission rate.

Although I don't think Primerica will go away, I do think that their recruiting efforts will quickly diminish.

If you want more information on how to recruit for your mlm company, or learn some new recruiting techniques, go to www.90recruitsin90days.com.

TVI Express SCAM EXPOSED

The bait is the 5 night 6 day vacation of a lifetime with a return plane ticket for only $250. First red flag: Why is the return flight paid for and not a round trip ticket? The reason is, that these vacation packages are bogus, and they know that most people will not have the money to purchase a plane ticket to get there. Therefore, they are banking on the fact that most people will not even inquire into the trip. I mean why would hotels be willing to sell their room for a week at any resort in the world for $250?

The second bait is the fact that you can make $15,000 in 2 - 3 weeks. Beware, $5000 is in free travel and $10,000 supposedly will hit your bank account. Folks, anytime a company says you can make $10,000 in three weeks from a $250 "investment", RUN!!!! There is no such thing!

All of this is based on a compressed matrix. That means you get in line, and as more and more people get in you move up the ladder and when you reach the top, you get the money. This is all good, but what happens when you get there and find out there is no money, because the people that started this have skipped town with your money. This is what happened to YTB.

ABC NEWS EXPOSES TVI EXPRESS!!!

My advice is, stay away from this one. Definetly a scam! There are better opportunities out there to recruit masses of people.

LATEST DEVELOPMENT! I just recently found out that the travel vouchers from TVI Express can be purchased by anyone for $2.99 each!! You do not have to pay $250.00 for the vacation package. These are bought through an incentive wholesaler and are available to the general public!!

Ben Piilani throws Global Verge and Buzzirk under the bus

This is from an article by Todd Haselton at http://blog.laptopmag.com called

"Zer01 Mobile CEO Addresses Scam, Vaporware Allegations"

CEO Ben Piilani basically threw Global Verge and Buzzirk under the bus this week with this latest article. I'd like to dissect parts of this articled and tell you what Mr. Piilani is really saying indirectly.

The first question that was asked by the reporter was:

"What do you say to those who claim that Zer01 isn’t legit?"

Ben Piilani's
response was:

"One of the companies that we signed on with, just as a distributor on a contractual basis was Mobile Verge. We didn’t meet them until after CTIA in May when they came to us. We weren’t even considering multi-level marketing until they came to us. They pitched us on the idea that—even though I’m not familiar with multi-level marketing verticals, and I’ve never been a fan myself—they pitched me on the idea that it’s a lucrative market that shouldn’t be overlooked.

And they mentioned that they’ve worked with successful companies such as Amway where they’ve had successful models. We created that vertical specifically to work with Buzzirk in May. Again, it was only contractual as far as them becoming a distributor under that vertical.

I guess in the past 10 or 11 days we discovered there was some murky past with Mark Petschel the CEO and he was convicted of securities fraud. So I contacted him and he explained to me the situation and he basically –long story short–he did get convicted of securities fraud. So we asked Mobile Verge to remove him as the CEO and so currently he just resigned as the CEO."

In other words, Mr. Piilani is saying:

"I din't realize that the guys at Global Verge and Buzzirk would screw things up as bad as they did. Had I known that this would have become such a disaster I would have never contracted them to be our main distribution channel. I can't be held responsible for their actions since I din't really know that much about the network marketing/mlm industry."

If the product could have stood on it's own, why go the MLM route. Why not go to Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, and Target, for a distributorship. These companies already have millions of pre-existing customers that would have jumped at the opportunity to have bought one of these phones.

Second question:

Who is Buzzirk?

Mr. Piilani answered:

"......Basically, Buzzirk is just a brand and they are going to sell that brand to multi-level marketing. Again, it’s just a distribution agreement; we don’t own any part of them and they don’t own any part of us. They came and signed on as a distributor under one of our verticals and they aren’t the only one we’re working with.

We were going to push the product through them as “Powered by Zer01.” They were originally going to launch in their agent network before on the public side. Then all of other stuff happened so we demanded they get it cleaned up before we start moving the product"

In other words: "The ship is going down like the Titanic, and if there are going to be any criminal investigations, or law suits it should be geared towards the Buzzirk guys, since they are the ones that mucked this up. We don't control anything they do. You could almost say they are a completely separate company from us, and we are not going down with them."

This is shameful Mr. Piilani. The captain always goes down with the sinking ship. Please don't try to bring the 50,000+ distributors down with you, or worse yet, shift the blame for all the negative publicity to them.

Third question:

"Why partner with a company like Global Verge marketing? We listened to the marketing pitch, and to an everyday Joe Consumer, that sounds like a Pyramid Scheme through and through, with promises like “$29,000 a month,” “a WiMax phone,” phones from “science fiction movies.” That sounds like a scam to us."

Mr. Piilani:

"None of that came through our compliance. What happened was [[Buzzirk’s]] base grew too fast I guess and they didn’t have their compliance in place and so their agents… it’s one of those things you tell one person and by the time it gets down the chain it’s a totally different story. And they just started marketing that stuff. So according to our agreement they weren’t allowed to put out any public materials without passing it through us first. They didn’t have control over their associates at that time. They just signed in a new compliance officer. I can’t make a whole lot of comments about that company because they are completely separate from us. I’m just making comments on what I do know."

In other words:

"These guys are abunch of bafoons that started pedding this product without our knowledge. We din't realize that they took our product (if they even have one), which is nothing more than just an expensive pre-paid wireless plan like Boost Mobile, and made it into something that you would see out of a Star Trek movie. Boy these guys (Buzzirk Mobile Distributors) have ruined our reputation so much, that we won't be able to bring the product to market."

Fourth Question:

"Do you worry that Global Verge and Buzzirk are going to ruin your name before your product even hits the market?"

Mr. Piilani answered:

"Absolutely. At the time we didn’t realize there was going to be a compliance issue and that it was going to get out of hand. In 2 weeks it went completely out of hand on their side. We’re pretty much completely helpless from our standpoint. The only thing there is to do now is tell them to clean up and get their compliance together. When we first started with them it wasn’t that we were intending on doing anything like this. For now we’ll deal with the aftermath and try to clean it up. Obviously, this was a new thing for us too, multilevel marketing. It was unconventional. It made sense at the time."

Wrong answer. The right answer should have been:

"Absolutely NOT!!! This product is going to be so revolutionary that it really doesn't matter what kind of negative publicity we get in pre-launch, when this comes out it will revolutionize the telecom industry. I advise all the "nay-sayers" to just watch and see what happens when we bring this product to market! No worries here!"

Fifth question:

Can you cut your ties with Global Verge?

Mr. Piilani says:

"We could completely sever our relationship with them but I don’t see how that would do any good. It would cause even more bad to come out. The best thing we can do with them is get their compliance in place and get it all cleaned up. And then get phones in their hands and have them out on the market."

You don't bite the hand that feeds you. Saying that you could sever your relationship at any time doesn't do much for the moral of nearly 50,000 people that have joined this company. Again, another example of throwing Buzzirk under the bus.

Sixth Question:

Do you have any rules in place requiring them to get rid of these bogus claims?

Mr. Piilani says:

"Yes we do. They have an ultimatum to shut down these sites and only post approved, messages. If not they’ll be removed as an associate. At this point I don’t know how quickly they are going to be able to clean it up. Obviously, there are individual sites out there. A compliance e-mail has to go out to all of their associates."

This is a CYB (Cover Your Butt) statement. Let's tell them that they can't make claims on their websites, and if this gets shut down by the feds, we can say "well we tried to tell them to stop their junk, but they wouldn't listen to us." Nice job protecting your sales force.

Seventh question:

Mr. Piilani says:

Does Zer01 have a patent for its technology?

"We are patent pending right now issued through the Patent Trademark Office."
[[Note: Zer01 spokesperson Ron Dresner says the pending patent number is US 61/149,871 under the Unified Technologies Group name.]]

No such trademark or patent exists!! Check for yourself.

Folks I am all for network marketing/mlm companies, and I am a big recruiter myself, but this is one I would stay away from. See http://www.90recruitsin90days.com for more helpful recruiting techniques.

Power of Negative Thinking

Just read a very interesting article about the power of negative thinking that completely turns the idea of positive thinking on it's head. The article talked about the fact that positive thinking may lead you to feel worse about yourself than negative thinking. At first, I was a little skeptical because I am all about being a positive thinker. I am probably one of the most positive thinkers you will meet. The more I read though, it kind of made sense.

The study went like this: They put two groups of overweight people in two different rooms, and had them write about how they felt about themselves and their weight. In one of the rooms the overweight people would hear a bell ring every couple of minutes. They were told that when they hear that bell, to tell themselves phrases like, "I am thin", "I am beautiful", "I am not overweight", "I look good to others". The other test group was told to say negative things about themselves like "I am fat", "I don't look good to others", "I am overweight". After 1 hour both test groups emerged. It turns out that test group that said the positive affirmations when the bell rang, wrote very negative things about themselves. The group that spoke negative affirmations had very positive things to say about themselves.

Why did this happen? Turns out that when we speak things into ourselves that we absolutely know it's not true, we tend to react in a negative way. We are an argumentative species. If someone tells me that I sound like a Democrat, I will react very negatively, and uphold my deep conviction that I am Republican. If someone tries to complement me and say that I look thin when I am really overweight, subconsiously, I will adhere to my conviction, and internally battle what was just told to me, because I know it's not a true statement of myself.

I will be looking into this further and give you my opinion in later articles. I think there is some truth to this, and I need to see how we can apply this to our everyday life, especially in the area of recruiting techniques. Multi level marketing is very much a psychological game. We need to sharpen our recruiting techniques everyday.

25 Recruits and Counting!

I am having one of the best months I've ever had in recruiting. I am at 25 recruits for the month, and I still have more to go. Of course these are team not personal recruits. Our best month ever was March of 2005, where we recruited 55 in one month!! My best month in personal recruiting was 14 in one month. The beauty of this recruiting system is, that it is highly duplicatable, and fairly fast to learn. Imagine for one moment that you are able to recruit 10 people (personally) into your MLM business, and you are able to teach 10 others to do the same, only suppose that they are half as good as you are. That means there is potential for you to recruit 60 people every month consistently. Now of course, this is a best case scenario, but hopefully you can see that 30 recruits in one month is very doable under this scenario. This is how I guarantee results in my book 90 recruits in 90 days - Guaranteed!

Monday, April 13, 2009

Unbelievable!!

Here it is, the 13th of the month and I am at 13 recruits!!! This is going to end up being a very good month. If you do the math, the way it looks right now, I'm on pace to recruit 30 people this month. However, in recruiting, my experience has been that for some reason, you will recruit most people on the last week of the month. When you start strong like I have this month there is potential to double your numbers. I am seriously looking at recruit 60 people this month alone! This when things get exciting. If you have questions for me, feel free to go to my website and make comments at the top of the home page! I will try my best to respond quickly.

The "Message"

Earlier in my blog I spoke about leaving at least 50 messages per day. A lot of you requested more insight on the message that I leave. Before I get into the wording of that message, I want to write about "the numbers game". Numbers are powerful. Have you heard of the Snuggie? It's a blanket that you wear. If the lady that invented that out of her house sold 100,000 blankets, her profit would be $1,900,000!! Just selling 100,000 blankets!! She has sold over 19,000,000!!! Do the math. She is using the law of large numbers. One of the reasons that people that read my book get 90 recruits in 90 days is because I teach a principle of the law of large numbers. One of the chapters gets into great detail about leaving messages. This allows you to cast a big net effortlessly. In three hours you can leave approx. 50 messages.

Here is the message that you will want to leave: "Hi this is ____________, I am trying to reach _________. Your name had come across my desk as someone I might be interested in talking to regarding a career opportunity with my company. You can reach me at ______________, and we can discuss the detail when call back. I look forward to hearing from you later". This is message guaranteed to work if you put the numbers to it! You will get calls with a message like that, especially in this economy. In later blogs I will tell you what to say when the prospects call you back.

Questions? Leave your questions and comments on my home page.

Just got done training my recruits!!

Just had an awesome training with 6 of my brand new recruits. We discussed, among other things, recruiting, the lifeblood of our business. When you have mastered the art of recruiting 90 people in days, the real fun is when you actually start teaching your downlines how to do it. This is where my business exploded! Imagine if you have 10 downlines that are half as good as you are. Ten downlines, recruiting 15 people per month. That is 150 people per month getting recruited into your business. It's not rocket science.

Today I want to speak to you about your daily schedule. If you truly want to be successful in recruiting, you have to manage your time for the first year. If you do, then you will quickly be on your to financial independence. From 9:00am to 12:00 pm you should be doing nothing but leaving messages (message script will follow later), lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Interviews with your prospects will begin from 1:30 pm to about 5:00 pm. Go home at 5:30 pm and spend some time with your family until 7:00 pm. From 7:30 pm to about 9:00 pm you should be in the field doing sales. Follow this regimen for one year, and teach your downlines to do so, and you should be well on your way to financial independence within one year.

P.S. - I have place a comment box on my website, if you'd like to ask me some questions about my techniques

Monday, March 23, 2009

Strangers are easier to recruit!!!

Most MLM companies will tell you to create a top 50 list of your fiends and family that you should contact to recruit into your business. That may work for some people, however it never got me anywhere. The reason is, you have no credibility. Have your friends or family ever seen you go into business for yourself? Do you already have the nice car and nice house that you are telling them they can have if they join your business? Have you ever done anything similar to what you are doing and had some success with it? I am not trying to degrade what you are doing, but I want you to have 90 Recruits in 90 Days and the only way to do this is to temporarily scrap the top 50 list. You will call the top 50 list later on, but not right now.

In the next several blogs I will teach some of the techniques that are highlighted in my book "90 Recruits in 90 Days - Guaranteed!" There is a goldmine sitting at your fingertips of people that are waiting for your phone call. Imagine an umlimited source of potential recruits that perhaps could be calling you. That goldmine is the COLD MARKET. If you work the cold market right, you will soon find that people are actually calling you to join your MLM business, especially in this down economy. There is a way to do if you follow some simple steps. Stay tuned for more!

Great day recruiting more people!!

I had a great day today. I recruited another person into my business. It never ceases to amaze me how, by following certain, simple, recruiting principles, you can recruit just about anyone you want to in your MLM business. It is so simple it's actually difficult for people to understand. You see, I've recruited thousands into my MLM business simply by using the method called, entice and withdraw. This is how I recruited this girl today at Starbucks using this method. Allow me to explain. Most people go about recruiting by calling a friend, acquantance, or family member, and explaining to them how, if they join them in their business, they will earn thousands of dollars and have a dream lifestyle. When the prospect looks like they might be just a little bit interested, the individual trying to recruit them tries harder to convince them to join. Somewhere along the way the prospect loses interest and does not join. Why does this happen? After studying people for a long time, and exploring many different recruiting techniques, I've come to realize that the best method you can recruit someone is to try your best NOT to recruit them! I know this sounds contradictory, but follow what I'm saying. If you tell a small child to not touch that hot stove, gues what they are going to do. Curiousity will force them to touch that stove since you told them not to, or if you tell them that they cannot play with that crystal vase on the coffee table, they will do exactly the opposite. We adults are not much different that those children. If someone tells us that we can't have that job, we want it that much more. That is how I recruit 20 - 30 people every month consistently. I tell people that they are not qualified to join my MLM company, and you would be amazed, they want to join. They see it in my face that I have no interest in them joining my team and they want it that much more!! That's the entice and withdraw method. Try it sometime!
