How to Recruit in MLM/Network Marketing

Everyone wants to over complicate recruiting in their MLM/Network Marketing business, when it is just so simple. Let's face it, the traditional way of recruiting your friends and family into your business simply DOES NOT WORK anymore. We live in an internet age where you are going to find more and more of your recruits by using such tools as twitter, craigslist, and facebook. If you use those sites correctly, you can see as many as 20 - 30 people joining your MLM/Network Marketing business per month!

I will explain those methods in another blog, but for right now let's talk about how to get you going right now. The common mistake is to approach all your friends and family, and try to recruit them into this new business opportunity that you've started. There are 2 challenges with doing that. Number one: Your friends and family know you for who you are, i.e. plumber, retail manager, construction worker, etc... If you try to approach them about starting a business, and you want them to come to a meeting, they are already thinking that you are up to something strange, since they have never known you to be a business owner. In other words, there is a lack of credibility, and probably will not show up. Number two: They haven't seen success in you yet. They've never seen you start a business, much less be successful at it. It's not like you're Donald Trump, and everything that you touch turns into gold. Recruiting your friends and family at first is the wrong way to do it.

My preferred method of recruiting is the cold market. I know that sounds very unconventional, and perhaps runs against what they taught you in the meetings, but it works! Why, you might ask? The cold market, or perfect strangers, have no idea who you are. They don't know your history, background, occupation, lifestyle, etc.. You are, to them, whoever you project to be. I am not saying to pretend to be somebody you're not. I am simply saying that you have a huge advantage when they are unaware of who you really are. In a weird way, you have instant credibility with strangers than you do with your own family and friends.

You might ask, how do I get in front of a cold market, or how do I recruit strangers? One of the methods I teach is leaving effective messages and texts on stranger's cell phones. Think about it, if you get a message or a text from somebody you don't know informing you of a carreer opportunity that someone had recomended you for, would you respond, if for nothing else to see what it was all about? What if you could send out hundred's of voicemails and text's everyday without violating the Federal Do-Not-Call list, and do it for free. Your phone would ring off the hook with legitimate prospects for your business opportunity. This was just one of the method's we used at Primerica, that helped our team recruit 40 - 50 people every month consistently for 5 years in a row! It works, and it's avery effective use of your time.

This is a powerful, and highly duplicatable way to recruit many people into your MLM business. For more information got http://90recruitsin90days.com

People Helping People Scam Exposed!

Here we go again! All the former Excel Telecom retreads are trying to do it again. People Helping People is a scam based out of Charlotte, NC. They are touting the fact that there is about to be a major shift in the wireless industry. Going from the traditional 2 year contract plan, to the prepaid wireless plans like in Europe and Asia. Team Global Group, that was formelly involved in a huge scam with Buzzirk mobile, and Zero 1 Mobile, will be launching this new scam, People Helping People in April 2010.

Here's how it works. You pay $39.99 per month for the Pre-Paid Wireless Plan (Sprint is coming out with a pre-paid wireless plan for $29.99 per month, and the other major carriers will do the same). The $39.99 per month will give a pre-paid plan, but will also get you a cheap replicated website. Every time you sign someone up to go underneath you, you get a whopping, life changing $1.00 per month from their pre-paid wireless plan. If you choose to come in and pay an intitial $99.95, you will get a dream making, $2.00 per month from every representative you sign up and they sign up. This is your typical MLM scam. There is nothing special about the phones, in fact, they are fairly plain flip phones. The network has many problems such as, dropped calls, and very poor coverage area.

If you want my opinion, stay as far away from this scam as you can. It's goin nowhere, and you will lose money. Once again, the only people that will make money are the people at the top of this pyramid.

Team Global Group, People Helping People Scam Exposed!

They are at it again. First they were associated with Zero1 Mobile, then Buzzirk Mobile (both were a complete flop), then they got involved with Global Verge (also a complete flop), and now they are deceiving thousands with a new company called NewCo (very original). The people involved with Team Global Group are Bud Nemeth, Kim Kahill, Betty Miles, and Frank Varon.

This is just another scam that will take your money. I have followed these guys for some time. Everything they touch turns into mud. Here is what you can expect if you join their latest venture "People Helping People": They will make tons of promises about a new product that they are about to launch at some point in the near future. Everyone will get excited, and start paying an upfront sum of money, then a monthly amount for "autoship". Just as the deadline starts to approach for launch of this "hot new revolutionary" product, something will happen to delay the launch. Weeks, and even months will go by before they tell you that the product will not be able to launch, and therefore have to switch to another new company,"People Helping People", that is supposedly "legit", then the process starts all over again.

One other way that Team Global Group, and People Helping People, Inc. make money is by sponsoring "big events" in big cities, and charging $69.00 per person, or $129.00 per couple. What are these "big events" for? To fire up people and get them "excited"? In today's internet world, can't they use free webinars to announce new products or get people "fired up"?

One last huge red flag, is the fact that People Helping People, Inc does NOT have a website. What kind of "legit" company doesn't have a website???

This has been done over and over with this group. My suggestion is to run away as fast as you can from these guys, before they scam you.

XOWII Scam Exposed!

Yet another nutritional drink scam has emerged. It's called XOWII, and it's an energy drink. My issue with this company is not that I think this company is a scam, but the fact that it's a nutritional/energy drink MLM company. Anyone considering joining a nutrional MLM company should consider the fact that there are over 1100 similar MLM companies, peddling vitamins, skin care products, energy drinks, etc..... They all claim the same thing: "this is made from (blank) berry and is the best antioxidant on the market. Our drink will get rid of your diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, depression, arthritis, heart disease,,...." on and on and on! All of these companies are able to make these claims, but who follows up to see if they really work. At any given moment, anyone can make a claim that if they take their product they will be healthy, wealthy, and wise, but do they really work, and has anyone ever proven it.

My other issue is that these products are very expensive. A 16oz can of XOWII will cost you a whoping $13.00 compare to $1.99 for a can of Red Bull! This is ridiculous! If you drink one can per day for a month it will set you back $390!! That's the way most of these companies work. That is why I am not a big fan of these MLMs.

My last issue is the compensation. First of all, in this economy, how many clients will you be able to find that can afford to spend $390 per month for an energy drink? Secondly you make $25.00 per autoship that you setup. You make $5.00 overide on everyone you bring in that starts an autoship. How many clients and recruits will you have to find in order to make $5000 - $10,000 per month. I think digging a hole from here to China would be easier.
